Join the Greater Good Educators Program
Greater Good Educators is a research-based professional development experience from the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California, Berkeley. It’s designed to support educators in fostering well-being, connection, and other pro-social values in schools and classrooms. Each month, you’ll join a virtual Community of Practice—an interactive, three-week learning journey exploring themes like purpose, empathy, gratitude, self-compassion, kindness, and awe.
Be an educator for the greater good.
Join our monthly Communities of Practice. Each month, educators come together from around the world to explore the science and practical application of personal and collective well-being. You’ll learn research-based strategies to build kinder, happier schools where students and adults belong. Each monthly offering is designed to help educators like you care for yourself—and the students, colleagues, and communities you serve.
Each Community of Practice is grounded in cutting-edge science and built to support real-world application. After participating in a monthly Community of Practice, you’ll receive a Greater Good Educators badge along with 5 clock hours of professional development credit from UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center.
If you complete three Communities of Practice (15 hours total), you’ll be eligible to earn one unit of graduate-level credit from the University of the Pacific through Courses4teachers (additional fees apply). Join all 6 Communities of Practice to earn up to two graduate-level units!
